Our Fifth Anniversary

Jack and I celebrated 5 years a couple of weeks ago!  I can't believe how quickly the time has gone.  I can't believe we have two little girls!  I feel a bit old :)  We were married in the Draper LDS temple and had our reception in the Provo Library ballroom.  It was my fairy tale wedding.  Afterward Jack had arranged for a limo to pick us up and take us to the Grand America for our wedding night.  It was so amazing to get to our room, just the two of us, after such a crazy-amazing day spent with friends and family.  Jack's aunt had packed us a box of all of our reception goodies and we ordered room service and then were able to experience the treats we had missed out on at the reception when we were too busy dancing and visiting with friends and family.  The next morning we flew to Florida and lived it up at all of the parks there and at the beach.  I picked Florida for our honeymoon because we were married in January and I wanted nothing more than to have a week in the sunshine....and visit Disneyworld for the first time :)  Here are a couple of throwback pics:

Well I guess Jack decided to be amazing and re-create our wedding night :)  On our anniversary he had secretly arranged for my sister to spend the night with our girls and a limo arrived to take us to the Grand for the night.  He had also gone around to different restaurants and vendors to gather most of the treats we had served at our reception and put them all in a box for me!  Seriously he is just the sweetest, I'm extremely lucky. When we got to our room we saw that the hotel had made us a custom cake and card and left them in our room!  Needless to say we had enough desserts to last us all night. We had a nice dinner at one of our favorite restaurants, Market Street Grill, walked around the hotel and really enjoyed the toy store there, then just relaxed in the room, took a hot bath in the jacuzzi, and watched a movie.  I gave Jack the traditional yearly book that I make and a card.  The next morning we slept in!!! And had crab and avocado omelets at Market Street before going to see American Sniper and then heading home.  It was an AMAAAAZING anniversary.  I'm so glad I'm married to this guy who is just the best person I know.

Happy 5th Anniversary My Love

Daryl,

It's a scary thing to think that, at the age of 23 I was expected and trusted to be smart and mature enough to pick the person I would share the rest of my life and eternity with.  The person I would trust with my children, my heart, and my years. Fortunately, I had both luck and God on my side when we met and when I made that decision that turned out to be the best and most rewarding one I would ever make.  Thank you for being the amazing man that you are.  You are truly the best husband for me and the best daddy to our girls.  You support me in every decision, you comfort me in every hurt, you listen to every story and thought, you soothe every anxiety.  You make every day special.  You temper me in times of rage, and buoy me up when I feel like I'm sinking.  You make me feel comfortable just to be me and share every part of my mind and heart with you.  In times that I feel inadequate I only need to talk to you in order to see myself in the best possible light.  You are brilliant, steadfast, hilarious, fun, exciting, encouraging, reassuring, and crazy good-looking.

I love you more with every day and ever tear and every laugh. I look forward to and will stand by you through the crying babies, new houses, pets, date nights, school years, priesthood blessings, messy rooms, church callings, hormonal teenagers, baptisms, waiting up at night for daughters, temple weddings, missions, empty nest, quiet evenings, old bones, failing health, and wrinkly bodies.  My love for you will never fail and never grow weak.  Thank you for being with me.

Happy Anniversary,
McCall
