about us.

My name is McCall.  I'm from a small, hot, windy, lovely town in Southern Utah called Hurricane where I played sports, cheered, did pageants, had bonfires, spent 9 months of the year at the lake, and had adventures with the two of the best friends anyone could ask for.  I got my Associate's of Science degree and CNA certificate, but I met The One and was happily knocked off the track to a nursing degree when we got engaged, married, and pregnant.  I now stay at home and raise our daughter while helping my husband run an advertising business out of our home.  I love taking photos, good food, good movies, airports and travel, books, and most of all the Lord, my family, and friends.

This is The One.  We call him Jack or 'Buba'.  He is the smartest, sweetest, most organized person I know.  He was born to be a husband and father and has his priorities right at all times.  He runs a successful business from home, and loves to watch movies and write reviews about them, play boardgames, travel, and play Legos with our Little One. He is tall, dark, and handsome.  And the best kisser in the world. We like him.

This is the Little One, Olivia Kimber.  She is the happiest, smartest, funniest, most beautiful baby ever born.  I'm biased, but still right about these things.  She brings light to our life and puts the wind in our sails.  We feel so blessed to have her and every day is an adventure as we watch her learn and experience new things.

Why I blog:  I like having a place to record our story and store photos.  My journaling efforts have always been a little hit or miss and blogging is the one way I have found I can be consistent in recording what goes on in my life.  Because I use my blog as a journal, it sometimes includes the messy, sad parts of life or my personal fails as a mom and person.  That is okay.  It has never been my goal to appear like I have it all together, because I don't.

Also, I love the thought that one day when I am old or when my kids have grown, we each may be able to sit down and re-live these wonderful, early days of our family.
